Norma Simpson McKinney, 85, Glasgow, died Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. A native of Cumberland County, she was a daughter of the late D. B. and Dora Garner Simpson. She was a retired teacher with the Glasgow City Schools, a charter member of Faith United Methodist Church, and a member of Kentucky Retired Teachers Assn.

Survivors include one son, Paul Simpson McKinney and his wife, Marita, of Glasgow; six grandchildren, Heather McKinney, Kelly McKinney, Hunter McKinney, and E. B. McKinney all of Bowling Green, Chris Fields of St. Pete’s Beach, FL, and Matt Fields of Glasgow; four great-grandchildren, Emma Kate Fields of Glasgow, Abby McKinney and Eloise Perkins of Bowling Green, Thia Fields of Cincinnati; one sister, Earleen Scott of Glasgow; one brother, Gene Simpson of Glasgow; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Ray McKinney and five brothers, Willard, Ernest, Robert, Maurice, and Maxwell Simpson.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Burkesville Cemetery. Friends may call after 12 noon Friday at the funeral home.
