Golda Pearl Livesay

August 2, 1923     ~     January 29, 2012

Golda Pearl Wallace Livesay, 88, died Sunday, January 29, 2012, at her home near Glasgow, KY. She was preceded in death by parents Grace and Woodrow Wallace, her husband of 60 years, Earl Thomas Livesay, two sisters, Barbara Franklin and Betty Lou Wallace. She is survived by daughter Judy Warner (Gary), two granddaughters, Dawn Wright (Dennis) and Deborah Stricklin (Jeff), as well as 12 great-grandchildren, five Wallace brothers, Keith, Ed, Randal, Clay, and Rex, and sister Rose Compton.

Golda and Earl Lived in Santa Barbara, California for 25 years, where she retired from University of California at Santa Barbara. Lifelong members of the Church of the Nazarene, one of her greatest achievements and pleasures was a backyard children’s Bible class held weekly at her home. For that, she received city-wide recognition in a very nice tribute printed in the Santa Barbara News Press.

In her memory, a drinking-water well will be dug near a Bible teaching church in India, through Gospel for Asia. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be sent to Glasgow Bible Church for that project at P.O. Box 1494, Glasgow, KY 42142. Private graveside services will be held for the immediate family under the direction of Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
