Donald Hendley

Donald Edwin Hendley, 76, Glasgow, died Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at his residence. A native of Plainfield, IN, he was a son of the late Berlin Holmes Hendley and Lettie Delmas Claspell Hendley, both of whom were Barren & Monroe County natives. He was a Tool and Die Engineer, having worked at Statek in Orange, California, and was a United States Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving aboard the USS Oriskany.

Survivors include his wife, Linda; one son Randy, one daughter Marci, 5 grandchildren, 5 sisters, Edith, Ruth, Priscilla, Patty and Sarah; and 4 special great-nieces and great-nephews, Alyson, Adam, Grace, and Nicholas; along with many friends and other family members. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 2 sisters.

The family chose cremation. A private burial will be held at the Hendley Cemetery at Fountain Run at a later date.
