Joe, I am so sorry for your loss. I’ll never forget the Christmas Eve your mother helped us pass out stockings to the residents at Edmonson. She was a joy to be around. I see your smile in her picture above. Sorry I couldn’t get to the funeral home. I know if it were me you would be there. I think the world of you and your family. I hope you enjoy your basket I sent. If you need anything I am just a call away. Love, Amy Phelps.

    Dear Family,

I saw your mom’s death in the Owensboro newspaper. You don’t know me but my grandfather was your mom’s husband’s grandson. My grandfather was Joseph WIlliam Garst and one of his sons was Garland Garst which was Garland Ray’s dad.

I’m sorry to hear of her passing.

I don’t know if any of you are interested in any family history. I don’t know a lot but a little. There was someone from your family that has come on occasion to our family get-togethers. I think is was either one of Garland Ray’s sons or a son to Nell Jane. I’m not for sure which. He was interested in family history. I don’t have time to be active in geneology but I do find it interesting.

I am sorry about your loss but if anyone wants to contact any of us feel free.
