Dorothy Jean Bohn Stonerock, 84, Glasgow, died Saturday, October 29, 2011, at NHC of Glasgow. A native of Dayton, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Harry Bohn and Katherine Frey Bohn Anspon. She was a retired bookkeeper for Walbert Trucking Co. in Glasgow. She had been active with the Glasgow Scottie Band Parents from 1963 to 1970; was a volunteer and former liaison for the Barren County Chapter of the American Red Cross; and was a longtime member of the Faith United Methodist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Linda Reilley and husband, Kevin, of Lebanon, TN; one son, Chris Stonerock and wife, Cheryle, of Glasgow; eight grandchildren, David (Jennifer) Harris of Palmdale, CA, Stephanie (Jason) Jarvis of Zion, IL, Kerry (T. Paul) Banz of Charlotte, NC, Brittany Stonerock of Lebanon, KY, Kristen (Wade) Copas, Matthew (Sarah) Stonerock, Kessley Stonerock and Andrea Buford all of Glasgow; eleven great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; one nephew, Rick Ooten and wife, Joellen, of Johns Creek, GA; one niece, Kathy Saxon and husband, Bill, of Arizona; several great nieces, nephews, and first cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Maynard M. Stonerock; one son, Steve Stonerock; her step-father, Alvin Anspon; one sister, Judy Anspon Ooten.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with cremation to follow. Friends may call after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Heart Association or St. Jude’s Childrens’ Research Hospital.

    I’m so sorry to hear about Mrs. Stonerock. I worked with Chris for about 30 years and I know he was very close to her. Her room at NHC was near my uncle’s room and I saw her frequently there. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

    My father Elmer was Maynard’s brother. We spent many good times visiting Maynard and Jeanie (I always called her Jeanie, not Dorothy) when they lived in Dayton. I am sorry that my wife Judi and I only visited Maynard and Jeanie twice since they moved from Dayton to Glasgow. I will always remember those good times.
