Rachel Loretta Ramsey Baise, 68, Glasgow, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2011, at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. A native of Barren County, she was a daughter of the late Herman S. and Mary Erlene Smith Ramsey. She was a former clerk at Watson’s Dept. Store, a homemaker, and a member of the Trinity Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include her husband Joe Baise; one son, Dean Allen Baise; one brother, Yandell Ramsey and wife, Mary Lou, of Park City; nephews, Tearle Ramsey (Kay) of Glasgow and Jayme Ramsey of Louisville; nieces, Tamara Spence (Jim) of Glasgow, Alisa Scott (Mike) of Cape Girardeau, MO, and Carmen Gentile (Jesse) of Bowling Green;  several great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Stanley Ramsey and Roy Ramsey, and by one sister, Anna Grace Polson.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with cremation to follow. Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

    Joe & Dean, I am so sorry to hear about Rachel..you both are in my thoughts and prayers …I have known Rachel I guess for 50 or more years and she was always saying something that could make your worse day feel like it was the best day …she always had a smile on her face every time I saw her …May God be with you both through all of this and the times to come.

    I am So very sorry to hear about Rachel’s passing, she was a very sweet and kind lady and will be missed very much. I remember all the bad days i would have and would call her to tell her i was on my way to talk, she would always say “come on darlin, im here for you”, and best believe that bad day was always so much better when i left you all’s house.
    I love you all and each and every one of you is in our thoughts and prayers.

    Yandell, I am so sorry to hear about Rachel. I have not seen her in years but so sad to hear it. She was a dear dear person who always seemed to have to work very hard for everyone else.But she was always willing and ready to help anyone that needed it. She is in heaven with the family and at rest and peace. God bless your family. Sorry I could not make it on such short notice when I read it.
