Norma Jean Burris, 73, Knob Lick, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2011, at her home. A daughter of the late Reynolds and Virginia Wheeler Cumbee, she was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her husband, Roger Burris; one son, Tim (Pam) Nunnally of Knob Lick; three daughters, Terri (Michael) Price of Greensburg, Tammy (Randall) Huff of Glasgow, and Sherri Mills of Knob Lick; one brother, Freddie (Sue) Cumbee of Summer Shade; two sisters-in-law, Pat Cumbee of Bowling Green and Shrada Cumbee of Glasgow; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Frankie Ray Nunnally and two brothers, Dale Cumbee and Dennis Cumbee.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Big Meadow Cemetery. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

    NORMA JEAN AND I WERE GRADE SCHOOL FRIENDS AND PEN PALS FOR OVER TWENTY YEARS IN LATER LIFE. SHE WAS A LOVELY PERSON WHO LOVED HER FAMILY DEARLY AND LOVED WORKING ON HER HOME AND GARDENS.
