Geneva M. Bushong, 74, Glasgow, died Friday, August 19, 2011, at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. A daughter of the late John and Hagar Smith Bushong, she was a former employee of the dietary department at Barren County Health Care Center and was a member of the Coral Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son, James Earl (Cindy) Bushong; two daughters, Phyllis Bushong and Georgia (Barry) Coffey; four grandchildren, Kenitha and Cierra Coffey, Cody Bushong and Nikki Rutledge; one great-grandson, Jakobie Bryon Bush; two brothers, Raymond Bushong and John Bushong; four sisters, Evelyn Erwin, Linda Morgan, Anna McDonald, and Betty Reece; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Joyce Ann Bushong; and three brothers, William Bushong, Richard Bushong, and James Bushong.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Smith Family Cemetery. Friends may call after 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

    I will miss you Aunt Geneva I remember all the good times we all had when me and my brothers and sister and mom and dad used to come down to yalls house every weekend i will always remember all the good times we all had. I will miss all the nightly visits when i would come to your room at the nursing home where i work and get to talk to you for a few minutes while i was working.
