Joseph Emmart
December 18, 1948 ~ July 25, 2011
Joseph Dominick Emmart, 62, Glasgow, died Monday, July 25, 2011, at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. A native of Chicago, he was a son of the late William and Josephine Dolore Emmart. He was datasystems technician with SBC-Ameritech, a member of IBEW, member of Boy Scouts of America, Cub Scout Leader, and an avid train, computer, and electronics enthusiast.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Dachtler Emmart; five children, Paula Walls (Louis) of Glasgow, Katrina Emmart (Christian) of Denmark, Cpl. Raymond Emmart (Krystine) of Kansas, Rebecca Emmart of Indiana, and Jeffrey Dachtler of Glasgow; four grandchildren, Anthony Emmart, Mianna Wulffeld, Edward Emmart, and Elizabeth Walls; three brothers, William Emmart, Clark Emmart, and Lynn Emmart.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with cremation to follow. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
My Sympathies to the family, Uncle Joe was my God father and although I have not seen him in many years, I thought about him often. He was a wonderful person and always ready with a smile or a joke to make you smile. He will be greatly missed.
Anna (Dolly) I am so sorry to hear about this. Please know you are in my prayers. I only met him the one time at Aunt Donna’s but I remember he was a very nice and friendly guy.

this is a very sad time for all of us, Joe was my step father and I will sorely miss his jokes, and miss the time I spent talking to him about electronics, computers, and Sci fi movies, Joe was a good guy.
my heart and prayers goes out to all of his family and friends but especially to my mother ( his wife ) and his children and grandchildren, may they find comfort in knowing that he is now in a better place and finally at peace with no pain.
