To The Rutledge Family: Extending sincere sympathy. Mrs. Rutledge was one of those folks that I always enjoyed meeting on the sidewalk or in a store. She always had a smile to share! She always asked about others and always asked me about the homeless cats and dogs at the shelter. She usually had a story to tell me about her grand-dogs. She loved her family very much. She is another bright shining star in heaven.

I am not sure if it was all of you or maybe just part of you, but I remember her working there because my mother would take her to your alls home alot of the times, and then there was times she would walk to your house. You on lived on the corer of Davis st. and I am not sure of the name of the other street that ran in front of your alls home. OK anyways, I just wanted to extended my sympathy to you all for the loss of your Mother. My grandmother passed away in 2001, she was 89 years old and was in the nursing home at Glenview. She would have come to the funeral just for you kids, she was just that way.I hope maybe you all can remember her, but I just wanted you to know this and that she would have come to the funeral home if she was still here with us. I am so sorry for your loss. May God comfort you all in this time of loss in your lives. Janice Peden

Donald and family, we are so sorry to hear of Martha Bell’s passing. This life is as a moment, a passing breath of our total life.
We completely enjoyed having a few dinner outings with you and Martha Bell when we were visiting in Glasgow.
I can remember some about Martha Bell before high school. She would work in Mr. and Mrs. Jones newspaper office about the middle of the south side of the square. I spent a lot of time at my grandmothers grocery store on South Green Street across the street from Bradford’s Hardware. Then there are the fond memories of Glasgow High School times. Martha Bell and I were in the same class.
May you be comforted by God and your memories.
    Douglas Smith

May God wrap his arms tightly around you during this difficult period.
