  1. Susan Steen O'Daniel says:

So many of my happy memories as a child visiting “Uncle Stanley & Aunt Gladys’ in Hiseville included my dear, sweet, and quite beautiful Aunt Louise. She actually liked (or seemed to like) having all the raggy little kids around and that sweet voice would chime with that heavy southern drawl and a subtle ‘giggle’ in the background.

I know it has been so very difficult to witness the seeming ‘loss’ of that sweetness to her illness and now the loss of her life but the mark she made on this world remains in the smiles and goodness of her children and her grandson and her great granddaughter! And for me, the images of Aunt Lou at the top of those steps with that big smile remain clear and happy!

Love to Tommy and Cecil and all!

Nurture, Beauty, Kindness, Love – I stay perplexed at which was FIRST or STRONGEST with Aunt Lou becaused she so perfectly embodied them all. She will always be my very favorite. Time will never diminish my memory of her!!
