Joshua Wood, 24, Glasgow, died Friday, November 5, 2010, at the University of Louisville Hospital. He was a 2007 graduate of Glasgow High School and a member of Harlow’s Chapel Baptist Church.

Survivors include his mother and step-father, Sherry and James Curry of Glasgow; his father, Thomas Crenshaw of Louisville; three sisters, Tajuana Morrison, and Monique and Olivia Curry of Glasgow; two brothers, Brandon Crenshaw of Knob Lick and Jermaine Crenshaw of Louisville; one niece, Tanashia Shobe; two nephews, Kevontay and Brandon Crenshaw; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Buford and Barbara Wood; step-grandparents, Cleodis and Mildred Curry; and three aunts, Pearl Brown, Barbara Jo and Jacqueline Wood.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Harlow’s Chapel Baptist Church with burial in the Wood Cemetery at Savoyard. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.

    I regrettably didn’t know my nephew Josh very well but form what my family and friends have told me he was a strong child and made the best of his life. God will take matters in his own hands from here so you can be certain Josh will live happly in the kingdom of God forever.

    Sherry I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your son. I remember when I worked at McDonald’s and he would come in as your family waited for you to get off from work. Anytime I saw him smile, it seemed to make the place light up and made the bad day turn into something better.

    To the family Josh was wonderful person always had that sweet smile ,didnt meet a stranger he loved life most of all he loved God his savior . He will truly be missed not being around the Harlows Chapel family he loved coming to church with Deacon Curry and riding the van always cheerful to be around . But God was ready for him to come up to bright glory to be with him so hes at peace with the master hes alright now so let your mind be at peace .
