Joe P. Roll, 92 of Glasgow, formerly of Louisville, Kentucky, died Tuesday, September 07, 2010 at the Barren County Health Care Center. He was the son of the late Foster Roll and Katie Watts Roll. He was an army veteran of WWII. He worked for over 50 years with the International Union of Operating Engineers local 181.

He is survived by his wife Edna Rae Horn Roll; one son: Jerry G. Roll and his wife Barbara of Fairfield, California; one daughter: Susannah Trammel and her husband Enlo of Glasgow, Kentucky; five grandchildren: Linda Kelly and her husband Jason, Lauran Roll, Tyler Hodge, Tucker Hodge and Ethan Trammel; three great-grandchildren: Jacob Kelly, Jerek Kelly and Addison Kelly; one brother: D. Brown Roll of Indiana.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one son: Joseph Padget Roll.

Friends and family are invited to his home at 471 Tick Ridge Road Glasgow, Kentucky this Sunday, September 12, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. central time, for a celebration of life.  Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

    Please remember the hope that Jesus himself described in John 5:28,29 , where it speaks of the resurrection of all those in the memorial tombs. And like you, I too look forward to that promise from Jesus himself..
