Stanley Ramsey, 75, Glasgow, died Sunday, February 7, 2010, at his residence. A native of Barren County, he was a son of the late Herman S. and Mary Erlene Smith Ramsey. He was a self employed entrepreneur, a member of the Glasgow Separate Baptist Church, a member of the Rio Verde Masonic Lodge at Canmer, and a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Joan; two sons, Joe Altman and wife, Terri, of Lexington, and Tearle Ramsey and wife, Kay, of Glasgow; one daughter, Tamara Spence and husband, Jim, of Glasgow; eight grandchildren, Mark Allen Jones and fiancée, Melissa Pardue, Rebecca Stearns and husband, Bobby, Sarah Cook and husband, Dave, Brianna Ramsey, Caitlin Ramsey, Marichen Lehman, Brent Alan Altman and wife, Becky, and Matthew Jacob Altman; five great-grandchildren, Morgan Rae Jones, Gavin Jones, Spencer Jones, Katlin Newby and Jackson Stearns; one brother, Yandell Ramsey and wife, Mary Lou, of Park City; one sister, Rachel Baise and husband, Joe, of Glasgow; two nieces, Lisa Polson Scott and husband, Mike, and Carmen Gentile and husband, Jesse; one nephew, Dean Allen Baise.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Timothy Altman; one brother, Roy Ramsey; one sister, Anna Grace Polson.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call after 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
