Betty S. Miller

Betty S. Miller, 72, Knob Lick, died Sunday, January 17, 2010, at the University of Louisville Hospital. She was a daughter of the late Arthur and Hallie Compton Rupe and was a homemaker.

Survivors include two sons, Donnie (Marie) Payton of Hiseville and Elmer Seng, Jr. of Knob Lick; one daughter, Debra (Darrell) Sanders of Cub Run; two sisters, Betty Moody and Helen Browning both of Glasgow; one brother, Billy Joe (Thelma) Minkes of Indiana; six grandchildren, Bobbie Jo Jeffries, Rocky Seng, Sam Gossett, Tim Childers, Stephen Starrett and Stephanie Markham; seven great-grandchildren, Christian, Triston, Noah, Layke, Nissa, Dylan and Berek; one great-great grandchild, Ty; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her companion of 29 years, Ronnie Joe Love; one daughter, Jean Seng; seven brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Lighthouse Church in Horse Cave with burial in the Asbury Cemetery at Center. Visitation will be after 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.

    To anyone in Betty Shirley’s family who may read this, I’m Betty Shirley’s niece she was my mom Jeannie’s half sister. I wish i would have know about Betty being sick and of her passing but nobody called me i just found out today. I’m very sorry for your loss and i will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.
