Olene Emberton
Ellen Olene Bow Emberton, 88, Glasgow, died Thursday, November 05, 2009, at the Barren County Health Care Center. A daughter of the late Elbert and Vercie Bow, she was a homemaker.
Survivors include four children, Donald Ray Emberton of Glasgow, Janice Emberton Schrader of South Carolina, Johnny Marvin Emberton of Munfordville and Sheila Emberton Eatmon of Glasgow; three step-daughters, Wanda Hamner, Nancy Kneip and Judy Marlow all of Indiana; one sister, Nell Wood of Brandenburg; 27 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Emberton; one son, Floyd Strode, Jr. and two step-sons, Frank Emberton and Marshall Emberton.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Bowman-Poplar Log Cemetery at Tompkinsville. Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
I am so sorry for your loss. Mrs. Emberton was a very sweet lady who will be missed. You will all be in my prayers.
To Tracie, Katrina, Kevin & Johnnie, Our hearts go out to you all . I know how much that you loved your mom and grannie emmer. She was a wonderful person and I know that she will be greatly missed . Our thoughts and prayers will be with you all during the days and weeks ahead. Only God can give you the peace and comfort that you will need.
