    Hazel and family,

I can’t recall one time I seen Wendell that he didn’t give me a hard time, playfully of course. He would come into the store and give me a scowl and then break into a grin at me. I will always remember those times. God truly blessed us, having known Wendell all of our lives. He watched me and my sisters grow up in that grocery store and eventually our children too. He was the kind of man you looked up too, the kind of man when you think of him it brings a smile to your face instantly and the kind of man who will be missed by many people. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. May God bless you all.
