Billy E. Calvert

Billy E. Calvert, 67, Austin, died Saturday, October 10, 2009, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. The Barren County native was the son of the late Amos and Mattie Eaton Calvert. He was a retired employee of the Engineering Department of the Kentucky Department of Transportation and a farmer. He was a member, Sunday School teacher, and trustee of the Tracy United Methodist Church. He held a deep seeded love for his church, family, friends, and his farm and cattle.

Billy is survived by his wife, Linda; three brothers-in-law, Kelly (Judy) Veach, Marshall (Carol) Veach, and John David (Beth) Veach; special friends, Todd and Donna Gray and their children, Matthew, Jessica and Sarah; three aunts, Sally Brownfield, Nell Eaton and Josephine Eaton; several cousins.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2009, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Fountain Run Cemetery. Friends may call after 12 noon Monday at the funeral home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Tracy United Methodist Church.

    I did not know Mr. Calvert at all but I was just looking through the website and something drawed me to his name.With that said,I just thought it would be a good idea to express my deepest sympathy to the friends and Family or Mr.Calvert.I’m sure he was a good man.He might have been somebody’s dad,brother,grandfather,uncle,cousin,friend…whatever he was or wasn’t I just have a good feeling when i see his name that he is upstaris with the good lord now and he is so happy.
