Kathy Fosdick

Kathy Lynnette Fosdick, 51, Peoria, IL, died Saturday, July 18, 2009 at her residence. Born Aug. 15, 1957 in Glasgow, Ky., she was a daughter of Mary Adams Peden and the late Lonnie B. Peden.

Kathy was a U. S. Army veteran and had attended Illinois Central College in East Peoria where she studied criminal justice and clinical psychology. She enjoyed watching the hummingbirds, bunnies, and chipmunks playing in her yard. She had a connection with her home state of Kentucky, where she visited as much as she could. A hike in the field or helping with the animals on her sister’s farm was what she enjoyed most. Kathy was always in touch with her inner child, whether collecting toys or just making her family and friends laugh.

Surviving are her mother, Mary Peden of Cave City, Ky.; one son, Steven (Amy) Fosdick of Peoria; three grandchildren of Peoria, her life partner, Anastasia McLeod of Peoria; two sisters, Jan Stoller and Joan Newell, both of Cave City, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, and one brother, Lonnie W. Peden.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at The Wilton Mortuary in Peoria. Additional visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hatcher and Saddler Funeral Home in Glasgow, Ky. Graveside services, with military honors provided by Glasgow Chapter 20 DAV, will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery in Glasgow.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or OSF Hospice.
