WaStella Lohden Hoover, 73, a resident of Britthaven of Bowling Green, died Friday, June 12, 2009, in Bowling Green. A former resident of Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Aaron and Hattie Richards Williams Lohden, a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Beverly “Susie” West and her husband, Terry, of Goodlettsville, TN, and Amy Parker and her husband, Greg, of Glasgow; three grandsons, Tyler West, Alex West and Austin Parker; one sister, Barbara Watson of Jeffersonville, IN; one brother, Carl Lohden of Jeffersonville; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ewing “Buddy” Hoover; four sisters, Christine Atnip, Janie Pearl Lohden, Dorothy Duke and Shirley Lowe; three brothers, J. C. Lohden, Charles Lohden and Hollis Lohden.
Funeral services will be held 12 noon Monday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with Todd Steenbergen officiating. Burial will be in the Neal’s Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call after 1:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society .
