Rex Anthony “Tony” Underwood, 65, Glasgow, died Wednesday, August 29, 2007, at the Medical Center at Bowling Green.  A son of the late Jack and Pearl Jackson Underwood, he was an employee of SKF with 39 years of service.  He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Agnes Overstreet Underwood; one step-son, Eddie Joe Davis of Glasgow; one step-daughter, Betty “Betsy” Welsh of Bowling Green; one step-grandchild, Mark Welsh and fiancée, Brandi Davidson of Glasgow; one step-great-grandchild, Justin Welsh; two sisters, Jo (John) Pedigo of Cave City and Betty Grace (Eugene) Kingrey of Glasgow; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Ruby Jewell Smith of Nashville.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 1, 2007, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens.  Friends may call after 1:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.  Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association of the American Diabetes Association.
