Joseph Nespojohn, 89 of Glasgow, died Saturday, December 9, 2006 at the Rosewood nursing home in Bowling Green.  Retired from Bridgeport, CT Post Office.  He served in the U. S. Air Force during WWII.  He was at Clark Field in the Philippines where he  was captured and detained as a Japanese P.O.W.  working in  coal mines for two years in Japan.  He was awarded the Asiatic Pacific Campaign, Bronze Star, Purple Heart and P. O. W. Medals.  He was a member of the St. Helen Catholic Church in Glasgow.

He is survived by his wife Ruth Williams Nespojohn and his daughter Nora Nespojohn of Puerto Rico.

The funeral  service will be 11:00 A. M. Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with Bro. Pat Ed McDowell and Bro. John Shepherd officiating.  Burial, with military honors provided by Glasgow Chapter 20 DAV, will be in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.  Visitation will be after 9:00 A. M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
