Alfred Ervin Carver, 77, of Etoile, died Tuesday, December 05, 2006, at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital.  A son of the late Nola Nabors and James Green Carver, he was a roofer.

Survivors include seven children, Patricia Wright and husband, Roy, of Austin, James Carver and wife, Della, and Hunter Carver all of Glasgow, Daniel L. Carver and wife, Ada, of Horse Cave, Barbara Holland and husband, Timmy, of Austin, Rodger G. Carver and wife, Bonnie, of Etoile, and Kirk Carver and wife, Patricia, of Glasgow; four brothers, Joe, Beatty, Donald and Wilton Carver; three sisters, Tootie Gilpin, Mary Bell Parrish and Jeanetta Kingrey; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Lee Childers Carver; two children, Marty and Donald Carver; one brother, Earl Carver; three sisters, Beatrice Chambers, Elva Rutherford and Mildred Carver.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 7, 2006, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Neal’s Chapel Cemetery.  Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
