Irene Jones, 87, Glasgow, died Wednesday, November 22, 2006, at the Barren County Health Care Center. A native of Macon County, TN, she was the daughter of the late Wesley and Dora Florence Oliver Cox. She was a homemaker, a member of the Hiseville Eastern Star and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband, Charles E. Jones; three nieces, Fonda Cox of Glasgow, Patsy McFarland of Florida and Delane Youpatoff of Owensboro; four nephews, Robert Jones of Louisville, William Jones and Glenn Jones of Hiseville and James Terry Jones of Glasgow.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Olene Deckard and Pauline Wilburn; one brother, C. J. Cox; one niece, Ruth Jones Ward.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 25, 2006 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Friends may call after 3:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
