Sherman Lewis Saltsman, 85 of Glasgow died Saturday, October, 27, 2006 at the Glenview Health Care Facility.  He was the son of the late William Saltsman and Flora Harp Saltsman.  He was a retired logger and sawmill operator, a veteran of WWII and a member of the Big Meadow Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Beulah Saltsman; two sons: Jimmy Saltsman and his wife Linda and Lewis Saltsman and his wife Carmen both of Glasgow; nine grandchildren: Timmy Saltsman, Kim Wilson, Tammy Shives, Louie Saltsman, Neelie Saltsman, Samantha Compton, Tony Saltsman, Scottie Saltsman and Brianna Saltsman; five brothers: George Saltsman,  Herman Saltsman, Roscoe Saltsman, Hayden Saltsman and William Saltsman; five sisters: Callie Jeffries, Stella Gooden, Dorine Reece, Linnie Fields and Mona Pierce; ten great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers: Roy Saltsman and Coy Saltsman; one sister: Sylvia Saltsman.

Funeral will be 2:00 P. M. Monday at the Big Meadow Baptist Church with Bro. Junior Shirley officiating.  Burial will be in the Big Meadow Cemetery.  Visitation will be after 4:00 P.M. Sunday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home and after 10:00 A. M. Monday at the Big Meadow Baptist Church.  Alternate expressions of sympathy may be made to the Big Meadow Cemetery Fund.
