Betty Ann Lynn Houchens, 72, Glasgow, died Sunday, October 01, 2006, at her residence.  She was a Licensed Land Surveyor, the second lady ever to be licensed as such in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.  She had worked for more than 50 years at Pride Engineering in Glasgow and was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son, Jeff Houchens of Glasgow; one sister, Evelyn Smith of Bowling Green; three nieces, Nikki Clements of Wisconsin, Sherry Taylor of Bowling Green and Susan Vickers of Florida; several great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Houchens; her mother, Brauner Ryan; and a sister, Emogene Alexander.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 4, 2006, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Cecil officiating.  Burial will be in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
