Joseph Anthony “Jaybird” Logsdon, 46, Glasgow, died Saturday, August 19, 2006, at the University of Louisville Hospital.  A native of Barren County, he was a son of the late Joseph Andrew and Hattie Pearl Gulley Logsdon.  He was a driver for Joe Booth Ready-Mix Concrete Products.

Survivors include one son, Joseph Brandon “Bubba” Logsdon of Glasgow; two brothers, Andy Logsdon and wife, Anna Carol, of Horse Cave, and Herbert “Roe” Logsdon and wife, Carol Jean, of Hiseville; four sisters, Louise “Sissy” Duvall and husband, Earl, of Glasgow, Sara Hornback and husband, Steve, of Munfordville, Ann Smith of Glasgow, formerly of Lexington, and Martha “Dorothy” Thomas and husband, Doug, of Glasgow; one aunt, Jessie Gulley of Indianapolis; 22 nieces and nephews, Joe Duvall, Lori Duvall, Mark Garmon, Jenny Thomas, Kim Harper, Ty Garmon, Heather Garrett, Ashley Garmon, Adam Logsdon, Micah Thompson, Jason Smith, Eric Smith, Holly Thomas, Gavin Smith, Dakota Garmon, Landon Garmon, Destiny Garrett, Paisley Garrett, Joseph England, Lacey Smith, Zachary Harper and Caleb Harper.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Jo Logsdon.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2006, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.  Friends may call after 5:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the family to help defray expenses.
