Jessie Andrew Pickett, 83, of Glasgow, died Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital.    A native of Barren County, he was a son of the late Lucy Bunch and Harry Andrew Pickett.  He was a retired patrol officer with the Kentucky State Police Water Patrol.  He was a veteran of WW II, having served with the United States Navy, a member of the Disabled American Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara; three daughters, Kathy Miller of Glasgow, Gina Young and husband, Mark, of Mt. Juliet, TN, and Beth Reid of Glasgow; one son, Barry Richard Coffey of Glasgow; eight grandchildren, Andrea Jones Brooks, Dustin Jones, Brett Young, Emily Young, Stephanie Coffey Esters, Andrew Coffey, Zach Reid and Tara Reid; one great-granddaughter, Makayla Brooks; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons-in-law, Mark Miller and Alan Reid; and two brothers, Wesley Pickett and Willie Pickett.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 21, 2006, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will be in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.  Friends may call after 5:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
