Jennie Elizabeth Depp York, 96, Glasgow, died Friday, March 10, 2006, at the Barren County Health Care Center.  Born March 20, 1909, in Hiseville, she was a daughter of the late Dr. C. G. Depp and Lelia Alma Maggard Depp.  She was a graduate of Hiseville High School and Georgetown College.  She was a former teacher, employee of the Kentucky State Parks System and hostess at T. J. Samson Community Hospital.  She was a member and deacon of First Christian Church in Glasgow, a member of the Edmund Rogers Chapter of DAR and a member of the Glasgow Garden Club.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Paul S. York, Sr.; two brothers, C.G. Depp and William Depp and one sister, Mary Ola Martin.

Survivors include two daughters, Martha Richardson and her husband, Buist Richardson III, of Nashville, and Mary Nunn and her husband, Winston of Glasgow; two sons, Dr. Paul S. York, Jr. and his wife, Margaret, or Glasgow, and Sam York and his wife, Sandy, of Glasgow; nine grandchildren, York Nunn, Jenny Margaret Parsley, Bruce Nunn, Mark York, Jennie C. Clarke, Radford York, Christopher York, Buist Fort Richardson and Carolyn York; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 14, 2006, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.  Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.  Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the First Christian Church Building Fund.
