W. Kenneth Buckner, 88, Glasgow, died Saturday, January 21, 2006, at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital.  A native of Hart County, he was a son of the late Dollie Joyce McCubbin and William Turner Buckner.  He was an accountant, a member of the Barren County Rod and Gun Club, a member of TPA and a member of Glasgow Baptist Church where he served as Deacon and was a member of the Choir for 52 years.

Survivors include one daughter, Joyce Smith and her husband, Bill, of Glasgow; one son, Phillip Buckner and his wife, Phyllis, of Franklin, IN; four grandchildren, Lori Christian of Glasgow, Clay Smith of Boston, Seth Buckner of Greenwood, IN, and John Phillip Buckner of Griffin, GA; one brother, Boyce Buckner and his wife, Bonnie, of Tallahassee; two nephews, Kevin Buckner of Huntsville, AL, and Gary Buckner of Tallahassee; three great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Harper Buckner and two brothers, Ray and Norman Buckner.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 26, 2006, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.  Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
