Joseph Herbert Everett, Sr., 82, Glasgow, died Tuesday at his residence. He was a son of the late Sarah Richey and Joseph William Everett. He was a retired long-haul trucker for Liquid Transport in Louisville and a veteran of WW II having served with the United States Navy.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; three sons, James Everett and his wife, Karen, William Everett and his wife, Marilyn, all of Louisville, Joseph Everett of Glasgow; one daughter, Carol Johnson and her husband, Dennis, of Glasgow; two sisters, Frances Hammond of Glasgow and Betty Carver of Austin; eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Gary Everett, who lost his life while serving with the United States Air Force.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home. Graveside services, with military honors, will be held 3:00 p.m. EST Friday at the Highland Memory Garden in Mt. Washington. Visitation will be after 5:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
