Ivy Peabody, 86, formerly of Glasgow, died Thursday in Milwaukee. A native of Allen County, she was a daughter of the late Marion and Fannie Husken Slone. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Glasgow, where she was also a member of the Golden Rule Sunday School Class. She shared a very active interest with her late husband, Horace Peabody, in antiques and clocks.

Survivors include two daughters, Jane Peabody of Appleton, Wisconsin, and Kay Peabody Schmaus and her husband, Don, of Winter Park, Florida; one son, Don Garner of Greenwood, IN; seven grandchildren, Marta Carstedt and her husband, Mark, Jodie White and her husband, Dr. Cully White, and Jaede Schrank all of Wisconsin, Paul Schmaus and his wife, Yong, of Dallas, Steve Schmaus and his wife, Ginger, of Winter Springs, FL, Ricky and Ronnie Garner of Indianapolis; seven great-grandchildren; eight half-brothers, Wendell, Fred and Howard Slone of Indianapolis; Charles, Bill, Sam and Bobby Slone of Portland, TN. and Ray Dean Slone of Bonita Springs, Florida; two half-sisters, Velma Choat and Ruthie Poole of Portland, TN; several nieces and nephews, including Joe Dean and his wife, Effie, of Glasgow, and Jim Slone of Westmoreland, TN.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Viola Dean; a brother, Tilmon Slone, her stepmother, Mae Slone, a half-brother, Warner Slone and a half-sister, Estelle Slone, and a sister-in-law, Maxine Slone.

Memorial services will be held 7:00 p.m. Monday at the First Christian Church. Private burial will be in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
