Lydia Mae Houchens Kinslow, 89, Glasgow, died Friday, February 8, 2002, at the Barren County Health Care Center.  A daughter of the late Joe and Maude McGuire Houchens, she was a homemaker, a member of the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church and the widow of the late Millard Jackson and Tompie Botts Kinslow.

Survivors include four sons, Gus Kinslow, Charles Kinslow and his wife, Ella, Roy Kinslow and his wife, Margie, and Leslie Kinslow and his wife, Wanda all of Glasgow; four daughters, Frankie Peden and her husband, Rollin, of Cave City, Nell Houchens and her husband, Ruel, of Glasgow, Margaret Crain and her husband, Oscar, of Hardyville, and Betty Ann Staples and her husband, Kenneth, of Glasgow; thirteen grandchildren, Jimmy Peden, Brenda Ramey, Gary Kinslow, Greg Kinslow, Tammy Kinslow, Carla Kinslow, Stanford Kinslow, Cynthia Cross, David Crain, Kendall Kinslow, Kyron Kinslow, Kim Forbis and Lee Ann Moore; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Marie Ramey; five brothers, Roy Houchens, Everett Houchens, Wendell Houchens, John Houchens and Cagie Houchens; and by two sisters, Ann Hotz and Altie Miller.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 10, 2002, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.  Friends may call after 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
