Charles Elva “Chuck” Burris II, 80, long time resident of Glasgow, died Thursday, February 17, 2005, at VA Medical Center in Cincinnati.  A native of Campbell County, he was a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a degree in mechanical engineering.  He was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church, a Dale Carnegie instructor, a member of TPA and Glasgow Rotary Club.  He was a veteran of WWII, having served with the submarine service of the United States Navy.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Lou Burris; one son, Jeff Burris and his wife, Janet; two daughters, Cathleen Ruscher and her husband, Mike, and Barbara Buemi-Webster and her husband, Alan; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.  He was preceded in death by his daughter, Molly Lou Burris.

The body will be cremated.  Memorial Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 19, 2005, at the Faith United Methodist Church.  Inurnment will be in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.  The family will greet friends after 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the church.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Faith United Methodist Church, the Alzheimer’s Association, or a favorite charity.
