Jimmy N. Freeman, 66, Evans Road, Glasgow, died Tuesday, July 24, 2001, at his residence. Born May 11, 1935 in Gum Springs, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Ervin and Nona Mae Freeman Rowden. He was reared in Garner and later moved to Peoria, IL where he graduated from Manual High School. He then joined and later retired as a Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force, during which time he served in Vietnam and received the Distinguished Flying Cross. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.

Survivors include three sisters, Ann Bailey of Glasgow, Linda Mulligan of Batesville, MS. and Diana Webb of Creve Coeur, IL.; two brothers, Donald Rowden of East Peoria, IL. and Robert Rowden of Ethel, MO.; An aunt, Fayrene Cole and an uncle and aunt, Cutter and Clarice Dickens all of Searcy, AR.; other relatives and a host of friends, including Howard and Helen Noe of East Peoria, IL.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Honor Guard from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
