Ruth Marie Steenbergen, 57, McKenna Street, Glasgow, died Saturday at the Glenview Health Care Center. A daughter of the late William “Bill” and Myrtie Bell Atwood Eudy, she was a homemaker, a member of the Brotherhood Freewill Baptist Church and the widow of the late Edgar Lee Steenbergen.

Survivors include a special cousin, Terry Hatchett and his wife, Claudetta, who along with his children, Jodi Salyer, Jordan Hatchett and Keeton Hatchett, she considered her son and her grandchildren. Other survivors include four step-children, Michael Lee Steenbergen of Arkansas, Charlotte Chism of Glasgow, David Steenbergen of Ft. Mitchell and Elizabeth K. Long of Florida; two sisters, Lois Denham of Glasgow and Jinny Poynter of Cave City; two brothers, James Howard Eudy of Knob Lick and George Welby Eudy of New York; eight step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Lou Etta Pierce.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Summer Shade Cemetery. Friends may call after 3:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
