                James Lewis York, 63, Glasgow, died Wednesday, July 2, 2008, at his residence.  A son of the late Alma Broadus and Cleo Lewis York, he was a sheet metal and oil well laborer. 

          Survivors include his wife, Geraldine; six sons, Larry York, Stevie York, Jay York, Wayne York, Jerry Pedigo and Rufus Pedigo all of Glasgow; five brothers, Alvis York, Freddie York, Bill York, Clifford York and Larry York all of Glasgow; one sister, Cordie Eden of Glasgow; 21 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Jane Dickerson. 

          Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 6, 2008, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.  Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
