I could hardly believe the news about Mike. We have been friends since before I can remember. Mike was a talented athlete and, more importantly, a great friend. I will miss Mike very much and to all of you in his family, you are in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless!

I didn't know him personally, my sister went to school with him. She said that he was a very kind and sweet person who had a great personality. So sorry to here about the lost but god must of been needing another angel.
Im so sorry to hear about the lost. Michael and I went to school together and I have known if for quiet some time now. Hes always had a great personality, he will be missed greatly. I saw him from time to time fishin at green valley paylakes. He will always be remembered by al his friends out there the owner is puttin a tree and a stone plaqe up for Michael is rememberence. Mike was a good friend of mine growing up. He was a great athlete and I always enjoyed playing ball with him. I was sorry to hear of his passing and wish I could have seen him more often after we graduated high school.

I was so shocked to hear the news about Mike. I'm so sorry and wanted to let all the family know that I was thinking of you. As Gary and Willey know my health has given me problems so I have trouble getting around other wise I would have been there at the funeral home with you. Although I wasn't there physically I can assure you I was thinking of Mike and all of the family. As it says in Matthew 5:4 "Blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted" I know by past experiences that we wonder at times when we are morning where that comfort will come from. I think we can find that comfort in many different ways but I feel like I found it when I lost my lady friend by family and friends standing beside me. I know God will watch over you and if you need that extra friend for support remember I will be here.
To all the Vaughn family & Nancy: Michael is a loved member of the "paylake family" and will be missed dearly-- even customers that only knew his face have commented on what a nice person he was and how he will be missed. Michael spent a great deal of time at the paylakes with Luther, Nancy, and Brittany -Kassie and Stefany had recently joined him a few times. We wish to invite all of you to feel welcome to come out anytime to visit or if you simply just need a place to go where Michael once spent a great deal of time. You will all be in my thoughts- Menna
To Kassie, family and special friends: Michael was an wonderful person who was kind to all. He was very thoughtful and was always willing to offer a helping hand. Kassie, you and your sisters had a great dad who loved you dearly- he spoke of all of his girls very proudly. You will all be in my thoughts, and Kassie you know you are a student/player that I think dearly of and will always have a listening ear. Michael would want to see his girls follow his footsteps and accelerate in athletics and in life- I hope that as time passes you will know that he is with you every step of the way. 10-18-06 Daddy...I just wanted to let you know that I love you and miss you dearly!! I can't believe that you have been gone for 2 years now but I know that you are still with me every single day!! I know this because I sometimes come to your grave and just lay there and sing to you (remember how you use to love it when I sang for you?) I just know that you are with me b/c I talk to you and tell you all my problems and I cry to you b/c I know that if you were here...you would take all the pain away!! I miss you sooo much and I love you with all my heart!! I wrote a poem for you and I believe that it is the best piece of work I have ever written so here goes. You never recognize... Until they are no more. And it is too late... Too late to acknowledge them. "I love you daddy!" I remember the beginning... Feelings of agony and cocern. Unanswered questions... Uncertain procedures and solutions. "I miss you daddy!" Looking back I realize... Every choice you make... Adequate or inadequate... Holds a reward or a consequence. "Forever in my heart!" Perhaps you could percieve... Assuming that you are to blame. So much distress and misery. Then come the realization. "Forever in my soul!" At last comes the solution... This is no penalty. More like a drill... Teaching you to embrace this obstacle. "Daddy's little girl!" There are some happenings in life... That cannot be explained. You have to learn... To recollect the good times. "You will never be forgotten!" My suggestion to other... Is to cherish the valuables. Do not take them for granted...
