          Marie Smith, 80, Columbus, Indiana, died Sunday in Columbus.  A former resident of Glasgow, she was a seamstress at Handmacher Fashions and a housekeeper at NHC Health Care Center.  She retired from Como Plastics in Columbus and was of the Baptist Faith. 

          Survivors include one daughter, Rachel Merrick of Butlerville, IN.; one son, William E. Smith of Columbus; seven grandchildren, Sheila Burdett of Georgia, Robin Sikes, Janet Asbury, Amy Ramey, Angie Smith, Tina Gilley and Ricky Smith all of Indiana; 15 great-grandchildren; one brother, Gordon Whobrey of Owenton, Ky.; nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Smith. 

          Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Hatcher and Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.  Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
