          James H. Shelton, 88, formerly of Barren County, died Tuesday, March 11, 2003, at Franciscan Healthcare Home in Louisville.  He was a retired machinist for the old Schuler Axle Company and a member of Lyons Missionary Baptist Church. 

          Survivors include a son, Jimmie Shelton and his wife, Bee; four grandchildren, Jimmie, Jessica and her husband, David, Elizabeth and her husband, Jeff, Christopher and Amy; five great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Kalynn, Shelby, Andrew and Alexis; one nephew, Romie Shelton, Jr. 

          Funeral services will be held 12 noon Saturday, March 15, 2003, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 12-8 p.m. Thursday at the Arch L. Heady Funeral Home, Taylor Blvd, Louisville; and from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
