          Alice Marie Settle, 81, of Scottsville, died March 22, 2004 at the Cal Turner Extended Care Facility in Scottsville , KY.   She was the daughter of the late Grover and Myrtie Elmore Settles.  She attended the Berean Baptist Church in Scottsville.    

          She is survived by three sisters: Clarene Jackson of Austin, KY; Bessie Dale Hale and her husband Russell of Glasgow, KY; and Betty Pedigo and her husband Arnold of Scottsville, KY; one brother: Wendell Settles of Scottsville, KY; one sister-in-law: Judy Settles of Glasgow, KY.  Several nieces and nephews.  

          Preceded in death by three brothers: William Earl Settles, Richard Settles, Wilson Settles and one sister: Francis Settles.  

          Funeral will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Settles Family Cemetery .  Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
