          Kathryn Sullivan Powell, 91, of Glasgow formerly of Washington D.C. where she had lived for 70 years, died Sunday, October 28, 2001 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital.  She was a retired government worker with the Internal Revenue Service for 35 years.

 She is survived locally by her niece: Nancy Coppage Poynter and her husband Ron of Glasgow and her niece Mary Alice Russum of Birmingham, Alabama; One nephew: Dr. Phillip Sullivan of Huntsville, Alabama.  Also several great nieces and nephews.
