          James Edward “Ed” Peterson, 86, Circle Springs Drive, Glasgow, died Friday at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital.  A native of Barren County, he was a son of the late Edward and Edna Bray Peterson.  Mr. Peterson was owner of Peterson Buick-Pontiac-GMC for 30 years and manager of Western District Tobacco Warehouse in Glasgow. 

          Survivors include his wife, Katherine; a sister-in-law, Betty Peterson of Cave City; several nieces and nephews, including Nancy Hale and Jane Edwards of Cave City and Barbara Harryman of Dawson Springs, KY.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Terry Peterson and Charles Sterling Peterson. 

          Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery.  Friends may call after 12 noon Sunday at the funeral home.
