Granny will be dearly missed by Robert, that's a given. He has his many fond memories & stories. I enjoy hearing each & every one of them. Myself & the kids may not have as many years or stories, but the few we have are wonderful! We're gratetful & will cherish them. Granny definetly touched the lives of all those, whom surrounded her. She loved to tell stories on people, but ya knew she cared. She was a character! We will miss her greatly. At the same time, we are very glad to see her suffer no longer. We've been mourning her loss for years, for once she was unable to do for others, she was truly no longer granny. I think we all need to take pause & appreciate Aunt Carol & Uncle Bobbys ability, courage, determination & strength for bein' able to be there for her, not once a year, twice a year or monthly, as so many of us were only able or willing to do, but yet daily/weekly. They took a huge burden/worry from many of us. Thank you Aunt Carol & Bobby for bein the Rock, Granny needed.. the rock so much/many of us wished we coulda been, if only half as much, as you were. You 2 def. put your lives on the back burner & put mom first. You are both angels. Bobby, you also did an excellent job speaking at her funeral. I know Aunt Carol had to have been so proud of you. I know it was hard for you. W/ that bein' said... I know that Larry & his wife, also, Jerry & his wife, were places granny absolutely loved to brag about going to when she were still able. I remember picking her up from your house one year. She talked all the way home, about the wonderful clothes you bought for her & how she wished she could stay longer, but also wanted to make sure her home was still in one pc. (laughs) She was very proud of her boys. I heard so much about the great grandchildren those two provided her & boy she loved watching that pool. She'd tell me of money that made it's way from Indiana to Ky often & how her boys loved her. When speaking of Kenny & Bob, she always spoke of all the wonderful things they'd done for her, whether it be paint her home, bring her fresh veggies from the garden, work on her roof or any other thing she needed them to physically do . She worried about how hard they worked themselves. She was definetely proud of all her boys & what they've done for her. She'd brag of how Aunt Carol handled her expenses & took away her stress of doing so. She was very proud of all her children, grandchildren, inlaws & even many ex inlaws. She created a wonderful family that grows w/ love. Please, remember the love she instilled in you. For her body may have worn, but her memories can live on forever, thru your hearts & those w/ whom you share them with. She didn't have much, but she sure gave alot. I see that in her children & I aspire to do that also. Love, Robert, Roberta, Cassie, Sam & Thomas
Granny will always be in my mind & heart. I will miss her dearly. Sleep in Peace, Granny. Love, Robert
