          Della Compton, 96, Glasgow, died Wednesday in Glasgow.  A daughter of the late Robert and Myrtie Turner Compton, she was a retired presser at Handmacher Fashions and a member of the Baptist faith. 

          Survivors include a niece, Donnie Meador of Glasgow; a great-nephew, Jason Meador of Glasgow; several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews also survive. 

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Memry Compton, Ernest Compton, Otis Compton, Hershel Compton and Clay Compton; and three sisters, Mary Maupin, Montie Kerr and Corenia Hiser. 

          Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens.  Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
