, she was a daughter of
the late Sam and Lula Johnson Estes and had been a lifelong resident of
Barren
County
.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Little Bethel Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Geraldine Denison and Wanda Hanking and
her husband, James, all of
Glasgow
; one son, Fidel
“Jack” Chapman, Jr. and his wife, Frances, of Haywood; three grandchildren,
Steve Chapman and his wife, Darlene, Debbie Wood and her husband, Tommy, all of
Glasgow, and Tim Denison of Louisville; nine great-grandchildren; two
step-great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Samuel
Estes of Indiana and Leamon Estes of Bowling Green; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,
Fidel Chapman, Sr.; one great-granddaughter, Stephanie
Chapman; one son-in-law, Damon Denison; one great-grandson-in-law, Joey
Thomason; one brother, Woodrow Estes; six sisters, Hazel Turner, Laura Turner,
Mabel Brownfield, Blanche Brownfield, Janie Lou Nichols and Betty Jean Brown.
Funeral services will be held
1:00 p.m.
Friday, March 12,
2004, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley
Memorial Gardens. Friends may call
after
11:00 a.m.
Thursday at the
funeral home.
